This is, "Fake Bunker Hill." These stairs, escalator are a developer's creation from the 1980s. What purpose do all of these stairs really serve? They merely connect one monolithic tower to another. This is wasted outdoor space. It would have been better to let the public roam through an enclosed structure than combat these harsh granite stairs.

Looking North to North East from Figueora. Looks like a gigantic building is going up in the lower right part of this picture.

Lovely lounge area for alfresco dining and wine at sunset, but...this is in back of the parking lot of the 32nd story building of Employment Lawyer Group, Los Angeles. The ambiance looking into the dark parking lot must be simply magnificent at night.

The Dorothy Buffum-Chandler Pavillion is turning 50!
This picture was taken by accident when I was walking away from the downtown Los Angeles civil courthouse across the street. My cell phone snapped it. My father has a far better picture he took almost fifty years ago in which my mother and sister are seated outside of the Dorothy Pavillion. Maybe he will share it here in comments.
Although I do not get to see many shows at the Pavillion, I always see what is playing there when I use the parking elevator to rise to the street level in route to court. Yes, I am a proud parking patron in the underground garage.
Beautiful downtown views even if the building to the right is causing a lot of reflection. In between the glass building and the next building you can see City Hall which used to be the tallest building in Los Angeles, due to ordinance. Unfortunately it is now a dwarf among the DTLA office towers.

In the real world of employment litigation, employment arbitration is messy. In this employment arbitration the private arbitrator was paid more than $57,000 just to hear the wage and hour dispute. The employer had to pay even more for pre-arbitration work.
Time will tell who won this one. It ended today after five days of intensity. I cannot guarantee any employee that I can win their case. But I am fairly certain after even the most skilled employment defense lawyers put on one or two of their witnesses, and those witnesses face my cross-examination they will stop putting on witnesses. For some strange reason the defense's witness list always shrinks dramatically or into non-existence after I've cross-examined a few of their witnesses.
P.S. You are looking at my messy side of the room and my easel presentation. You want results, don't expect a sterile environment, and yes I use paper.

Sort of interesting that this weird little show allegedly about employment law got on top of a billboard for Los Angeles' #1 morning show. Maybe you should listen and find out why. Sunday nights 7-8 PM KABC AM 790
